Call for Papers for IBEC 2010, January 7-10

The 2010 International Business and Economy Conference will be held in Prague, The Czech Republic. The host institution is the University of Economics and Management (www.vsem.cz). The standard submission deadline is September 7th, 2009, and the web site for the conference is http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~ibec/.

Themes and topics: the general theme of the conference is IBE3: International Business and Economy, Environment, and Education; all topics are considered that are associated with the rapid changes in the global economy which present continuing challenges for educators, as well as for business and government leaders. The political and economic rules of the game are changing: the development of stronger regional cooperation in several parts of the world, the advent of e-business and the widespread use of the Internet, and the challenges in governance and corporate behavior. Strategic alliances, networks and partnerships span political and geographical borders. The objective of this conference is to provide a forum for scholars analyzing the strategic challenges faced by firms in the global arena. In addition, cross-disciplinary submissions are encouraged. Manuscripts developed from dissertations are encouraged.

Refereed submissions: Submissions should be sent via e-mail as an attachment in Microsoft Word for Windows format, before or on September 7th, 2009, to Bruce Heiman, the Program Chair, at heiman@sfsu.edu.
